When something on RecipePlot is wrong, it is fixed, and a significant fix is noted on the page rather than made silently.

## How to report an error

- **Name the page.** A link or the recipe title is enough.

- **Quote the part that is wrong.** For a recipe, include the step or ingredient and what happened when you followed it.

- **Add a source if you have one.** It helps, but a clear description is enough on its own.

Send it through the [contact form](/contact/) or to [hello@recipeplot.com](mailto:hello@recipeplot.com).

## What happens next

| Type of error | Priority | What the page shows |
| --- | --- | --- |
| A food-safety figure, such as a temperature or storage time | Fixed first, usually within two business days | A dated correction note |
| A recipe that fails as written, such as a wrong amount or missing step | High | A dated correction note |
| A factual error in an answer | High | A dated correction note |
| Spelling, grammar or a broken link | Routine | Fixed without a note |

## What does not count as a correction

Taste preferences, such as "too sweet" or "needs more garlic," are useful feedback but not errors. Recipes may be adjusted in response to them, but those changes are not logged as corrections.
